What is somație de plată?
Governed by OG 5/2001, the payment order is a fast-track for collecting certain, liquid and due debts from civil/commercial contracts. A flat court fee of 200 RON applies. The judge issues a payment order within 30-60 days without full adversarial proceedings. The debtor may contest within 10 days. If contested, the dispute proceeds by ordinary civil action. The order is an enforceable title.
