What is somație de plată?
Governed by OG 5/2001, the payment order is a fast-track for collecting certain, liquid and due debts from civil/commercial contracts. A flat court fee of 200 RON applies. The judge issues a payment order within 30–60 days without full adversarial proceedings. The debtor may contest within 10 days. If contested, the dispute proceeds by ordinary civil action. The order is an enforceable title.
