1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by the web browser when accessing a website. The term "cookie" also includes similar technologies: web beacons, localStorage, sessionStorage, tracking identifiers.
Legal basis: Law no. 506/2004 (transposing Directive 2002/58/EC ePrivacy, as amended by Directive 2009/136/EC), Law no. 235/2015 and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
2. Cookies Actually Set by StatusDosar.ro
2.1. Strictly necessary cookies (essential, always active)
Indispensable for the Platform to function. Exempt from consent under Law 506/2004 art. 4(5).

The durations above are the maximum lifetime of each cookie; a session cookie is also removed when you sign out.
2.2. Analytics cookies (require consent)

The measurement tags are managed through Google Tag Manager, which loads only after consent for the analytics category. Transfers to Google LLC and Microsoft Corporation in the United States are made under the standard contractual clauses adopted by Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914. IP anonymisation is enabled and the page content is masked at source for Microsoft Clarity. We do not use Google Ads, AdSense, Facebook Pixel or remarketing.
2.3. Functional cookies (require consent)
Optional cookies that store interface preferences beyond those listed in 2.1. We do not currently use such cookies.
2.4. Marketing cookies
StatusDosar.ro currently does NOT use marketing or advertising cookies (no Facebook Pixel, no Google Ads, no remarketing). The "marketing" toggle in the consent banner exists for future features and remains inactive in the current build.
3. localStorage and sessionStorage
StatusDosar.ro uses browser-local storage to keep interface preferences, such as the theme or the last filter you selected. This storage is not sent automatically to our servers and is cleared when you clear your browser data.
4. Consent Management and Audit Trail
On first visit, the cookie banner offers granular consent per category: essential, functional, analytics, marketing. Each consent is recorded in our register with the moment, the IP address, the user agent, the banner version and the document version, as proof of consent under art. 7 GDPR. The record is kept for at least 5 years from the date the consent was given or withdrawn, whichever is later.
You can change consent anytime via the "Cookie Settings" button in the footer.

5. Your GDPR Rights

6. Policy Updates
This policy may be updated periodically. Substantial changes are communicated via the cookie banner (re-consent prompt) or by email to active subscribers, with at least 30 days notice. Each policy version has an internal version number tracked in the consent log.
