How to enforce a judgment in Romania
Start enforcement through a court enforcement officer (executor judecătoresc) — list at executori.ro. File the enforcement request with the final judgment. The officer petitions the enforcement court for authorisation (within 3 working days); the court grants it ex parte. The officer then issues a payment demand (1-day deadline for monetary obligations). Enforcement forms: garnishment, seizure, real estate enforcement. The 3-year enforcement limitation period runs from finality of the judgment (art. 706 NCPC). The debtor may contest enforcement acts within 15 days (art. 711 NCPC).
